Several leaves of verse from Beowulf, the Kalevala, some Old French, Latin, and some of the graffiti scrawlings from Maes Howe. I noticed “Hwæt!” was quite popular in starting at least three! Guess that’s sort of like the Anglo-Saxon way of saying “Sit down, Shut up, and Listen you noisy bastards!” (actually it just means “What!” but on prefacing a tale, “Now, …” )
Because it referenced bears, and ancient languages! :D
